Istanbul is a thriving tourist attraction with ample restaurants and bars all abroad. The only problem is that it can sometime be difficult for one to find a drink for an affordable price. These days, prices in these tourist spots can be as much as 10 YTL (USD 15.00). These prices are simply ridiculous, and should be avoided as much as possible. Hopefully after the article is read, one will have a better understanding where relatively cheap places can be found. The away, even those who are on a tight budget can afford to have a great time.

The price of one’s drink is all depending on the area that they hope to get a drink in. Places like Sultanahmet will be outrageously high due to the amount of tourists abroad. If there is a need to get a drink, I would recommend not falling for the traps in this area. The prices can be as much as 20 YTL (USD 30.00)!

Taksim is an area where there can be a few good deals. If in the area, try to look for them. The range in price here can be anywhere from 2.50-10.00 YTL (USD 3.75-15.00). Prices here are a little more affordable, but always remember that the right place must be found to acquire a good deal!

Most places outside of Istanbul have a pretty flat rate. It is relatively cheap as well. Not many places will charge outside of this rate due to the competitions. There are a few beverag
es listed below.

A cup of Coffee: USD 2.46

Beer in a bar: USD 3.28

Cocktail: USD 8.50

The prices above are an average throughout the surrounding areas of Istanbul. These prices are relatively cheap, and can accommodate anyone’s needs.

I assume the reader is also curious as to which local spots give the best bang for the buyer’s buck, right? Listed, are a few places that can be found in or around Istanbul for a very good price.

Babylon-A local club that most greatly enjoy. They are a late-night club that offers a very wide variety of music.
Reina- Reina offers a good amount of bars for anyone wanting to cool off with a nice drink. Again, one can find fair prices in this establishment.

There are many more than just these two bars/clubs, but they are amongst the favorites of both the locals and the tourists. Prices in any tourist spot do typically charge a large amount of money for everything simply because they can. The best way to avoid that crazy cost is to do a little research, and find the places that are just as good for a little lower price. There may be places that charge five or six times what one would be used to at their home, but there are also places that charge only half as much! Also, don’t forget to always look for places with Happy Hour, or specials going on. There will typically always be a spot or two where one can find a great deal for the night.
