1. Please Tell Us About Yourself as a Person and Your Hobbies
I am quite an introvert and I love my alone time. I'm sensitive,
ambitious, loyal, responsible, and fun. I believe in the integrity of
my brand, my business and myself as a human being. My hobbies include
water and snow ski, tennis, running, cycling and I meditate on a
regular basis.
2. How Did you Get Started Into Modelling?
I was discovered at a beauty pageant that I had won called Miss Teen California.
3. Tell Us About Your Company "By Caprice"
I started the company in 2006 in the hope of creating a brand and a
company that I could pass onto my future family and most importantly
allow me to do what I love best: make ladies feel beautiful, confident,
sexy and feminine.
As CEO of the
company I fully finance, design, model and market the line and have
created the success of By Caprice Lingerie entirely on my own. Since
launching the company, I have expanded to Swim, Sleep, and Bedding, and
launched 'Glam By Caprice' exclusive to Littlewoods in 2008. I am
currently busy expanding my business into new markets so it is a really
exciting time for the company.
4. You Have Been Into
So Many Area's Such as Modelling, Acting, Stage Theatre, Pop Singer,
How Can You Do So Much in Such a Small Time?
I think
in the world of entertainment you have to be multi-dimensional to
compete and stay on top of a very cut throat and competitive environment
5. Please Tell Us About Your Role as an Ambassador for the Prince's Trust and for Childline?
I have raised approx. £400, 000 for Childline through my involvement
with them and I was a Chairwoman for the Childline Ball for two years
running.
6. What Are You Currently Working On?
I am currently designing my Autumn/Winter 2011 By Caprice collection and I am now looking to expand by product to America.
7. Did you Ever Feel Discouraged in Life Specially During your Entrepreneurship Phase and if Yes What Thought Made You Recover?
Of course I felt discouraged. The recession was a very difficult time
for me. I lost a lot of money and almost lost my business. I have no
equity partners so I'm alone in my business in every respect. Also,
there have been some real low times for me personally. I got caught
drinking under the influence five years ago and was publicly absolutely
crucified. That was a real life changing moment. I think out of my
irresponsibility came something
good. From that point on I changed my friends, became more spiritual, and totally devoted my life to my brand.
8. Please Share With Us Your Secret of Staying in Top Shape
You know what...it's been a struggle all my life. I am a vegetarian, I
play tennis twice a week...i have a trainer twice a week...and I take a
body pump class as well as a spinning lass at least once a week...its
work...its hard work.
9. Please Tell us About Your Normal Diet Nowadays (e.g. breakfast, lunch, dinner)
For breakfast I usually have watermelon as its very alkaline. Lunch is
generally when I have my carbs to give me energy for the day, and for
dinner it is only protein, so vegetables or tofu or falafel.
10. How Have You Motivated Yourself About Healthy Eating?
If I don't eat healthily I could put on a stone in a week easily...So
its either eating healthily or putting on a lot of weight.... Ummm that
is a hard one!!
11. What Message/Advice Would You Like To Give To Our Obesity Campaign UK Readers so They Can Get Rid of Obesity?
You know what, the best advice I can give is that i've had to work my
arse off all my life to keep my weight down...and i've had to work
hard, as the remainder of my family are very voluptuous. I have the
genes that if I don't stay on my routine I could put on weight in two
seconds. I understand the struggle. All I could say is the hard work I
swear will pay off. Obesity destroys our health, and that is the most
important thing in life. This is the number one thing we should do to
preserve a healthy body and a healthy you, because if we don't have our
health we have nothing!
